Forty two grants, helping 103 family members in need, totaling just over $32,000 in aid was approved for January and February by the Fifeshire Foundation. This aid was delivered over a few days to our applicants, and it was made up of

  • School uniforms (almost $5000)

  • School start up costs, camps and holiday programmes

  • Baby car seats

  • Health and dental costs

  • Driving lessons and driver licences

  • Glasses

  • Hearing aids

  • Food vouchers

  • miscellaneous items to help relieve hardship

  • And over $18 000 in dental care and dentures

We want to thank our generous donors who make it possible for us to provide this assistance to those in our community who are vulnerable right now. And with the health and dental costs this month, we are delighted to have the support on this front particularly from Manuka Street Hospital, who provides grants targeted toward some of these needs in particularly dental.
