Charity Dental
Through the support of local dentists, the Fifeshire Foundation supports local people who are in hardship and domestic crisis with dental work.
Launched in October 2025, charity dental grants support people who would like to be considered for an initial assessment of their dental needs, and may be considered for further support.
Please note that we also support applications for dental work through our monthly hardship grants where we consider applications for support towards dental costs - this is for people who have already been to a dentist for an assessment and are clear of their needs.
Application process
Charity dental applications received through the month are reviewed by the trustees at their monthly Applications Committee meetings and applicants are advised of the outcome after this meeting. The deadline for charity dental applications is the end of each month.
Through the generous support local dentists, we are able to support a number of applicants each month with dental assessments and potential follow up treatment pending approval.
Prepare and SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION
If you would like to apply online, click on the button below. You may find it helpful to read the application form first and gather together the information required before you start filling it in. Please also see more guidelines below and on the form.
Our preference is for you to apply online if at all possible as this reduces our staff admin time significantly, allowing us to focus on other important work. We understand that in some circumstances, individuals are not able to apply online online and require a printed application, please contact us or collect one in person from Fifeshire House.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Each application is looked at on a case-by-case basis. Once your application has been reviewed, we will contact you to advise of the outcome. If your application is approved, we will forward your details to one of our partner dentists for an initial assessment.
The dentist will consider all factors and then make a recommendation for a suitable treatment plan, and a final decision will be made by Fifeshire Foundation.
budget and INCOME
We require all applications from individuals to include a budget worksheet, signed by a budget adviser. If you are unable to provide this you will need to put your explanation on your application form, and you will need to provide verification of household income and expenses. This can include a ‘my MSD’ printout with your income.

Charity Dental support is made possible by local dentists
Our Charity Dental initiative started in 2025 through the support of a few local generous dentists. We hope this encourages more dentists to come on board and support charity dental work for those in our community who are facing hardship or crisis.
Thank you for your support!
