Supporting households to keep warm over winter
Since 2024, we have assisted over 200 families each year through our Winter Grants programme. We’re pleased to offer Winter Grants again in 2026 to help keep whānau warm during the colder months. Support is available in the form of a firewood delivery or a grant towards the household power bill.
Nomination process
Please note that nominations for Winter Grants are not publicly advertised and must be submitted through an approved agency, school or organisation. If you would like more information or need support with the nomination process, please contact us directly.

Winter Grants - pay it forward
If you would like to donate to our Winter Grants scheme please visit our donate page. We are very grateful to those who are able to donate and appreciate those who are able to pay forward their superannuant winter energy payment toward our winter grants.
If you are able to donate, your donation goes directly out to families in need to keep them warm during the winter. Thank you!
A huge thank you to the support received from Anglican Care for grants for over 60 year olds, and Network Tasman Trust for a grant towards the relief of energy hardship in 2025 which we allocated via our winter grants. Tasman District Council community firewood day supported us with a grant of $16,000 towards firewood for Tasman locals facing hardship.
