About the Foundation
The Fifeshire Foundation is a charitable trust set up in 1993 on the initiative of the late Sir Wallace Rowling and local radio station Fifeshire FM (now More FM)
Money is raised locally and a board of well respected trustees distribute funds to those in need within the Nelson and Tasman region to make it a better place.
Where are we located?
The Fifeshire Foundation trustees meet in the MediaWorks Radio building, Fifeshire House in Trafalgar Square, Nelson
Where does the money come from?
- One off donations from individuals.
- Contributions through work payroll systems.
- Nelson City Council and Tasman District Council contribute annually from their community grants funds.
- The George Brown Trust.
- Business Support in cash and in-kind donations of goods and services.
- Fundraising events held by social clubs, sports organisations and by the Foundation.
- Personal Bequests.
